Morning Assembly
The morning assembly is held everyday &sets the rhythm for the whole day. The prayer & thought put the students in an introspective mood and their thoughts are morally focused. The news is read everyday to keep the students well versed with the happenings around the world.
Guest Lectures
Eminent persons from various fields are invited from time to time to impart & share their enriching experiences with the children.
School Library
Books give us the power of solitary reflection. Keeping this in mind the school has a good library with well selected books for various classes. The books are also issued to the students. Apart from this, various newsletters, journals and news papers are made available for the benefit of the children.
Basic Framework
The school is from Nursery to std.-VIII. The session is from April to March. The medium of instruction is English. The class rooms are big, airy, well equipped and well ventilated. The students are provided with modern comfortable furniture. The environment in the classrooms is congenial, friendly, democratic & interactive.
Mode Of Assessment
The students are frequently tested and the results are used as a feedback to improve upon their performance. The school conducts two exams:- Half Yearly – in the 1st week of September. Finals – in the 1st week of March. A comprehensive record of the students’ progress is maintained.
Computer Education
The school has a proper computer room & students from Std.- III to Std.- VIII are imparted Computer education. As computer has become an integral part of our life – there is an effort to make the students below Std.- III , computer savvy. Internet learning is also imparted to bring our students in sync with the ever evolving world.
Training For Leadership
In our unique method of open administration, we train the students to shoulder the responsibility by involving them in the school administration. Personal attention is given to all students and for us each of them is our child not a mere roll number.
School Houses
The teachers and students are divided into four houses-Emerald, Ruby, Sapphire & Topaz.
Parent-Teachers' Meet
To ensure convergence of ideas for the betterment of the child, Parent- Teachers’ Meet is held after the half yearly exams.


Co-Curricular Activities

To ventilate the minds of the students and nurture their creativity, Co-curricular activities are held every Friday to encourage public oration skills & recitation ability.
* A comprehensive G.K. & I.Q. test is held every quarter.
* Debates & Quiz are organized.
* Drawing & painting contests are held.
* Prizes for C.C.A. are given on a weekly basis.
* Current affairs gist is provided at the end of each month.
* A news letter “ALPINE” is published by the school.
* Every week, articles are put up on the notice board by the various houses.
* School alumni has been formed and it holds its annual meeting on the 1st Sunday of June and they interact with each other through the e-group-   “oldboys–wss@yahoogroups.com” .
* Weekends in November-December are infotainment weekends for all classes.
* Three annual excursions  are organized for the senior section to some place of  Historical interest or natural beauty.

 

Functions, Awards & Scholarships

* Talk show / film-festival is held to a jam packed audience. Students of all classes participate.
* The Founder’s Day is observed every 5th February.
* Republic day & Independence day are celebrated with patriotic fervour.
* A Photo feature is organized on Gandhi Jayanti.
* Teacher’s day & Children’s day are celebrated.
* A grand annual fete – Autumn Fair is organized.
* Awards for academics, behaviour & shields to victorious houses are awarded annually.
* Scholarships are awarded to 10 students on merit cum means basis by the M.L.  Bhagat Foundation & the Rabindra Nath Tyagi Memorial.
